Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC (Updated)

* Updated 3/14 - Infinity Ward has now officially confirmed the rumors that have been swirling about for weeks now.  Check out fourzerotwo on Major Nelson's podcast for official verification (forward to 49:40 for MW2 info) - LINK *

* Updated 3/13 - Xbox Live now has the Stimulus Package placeholder link up on the XBL Marketplace.  Along with this link is a description of the 5 maps that will be in the first map pack (3 new maps, 2 CoD4 maps).  Details below. (via @boyle111)

* Updated 3/10 - Stimulus Package video below.  A reliable source has filled us in that this DLC pack will cost 1200 MS Points aka $15.00. *

* UPDATE  - Another working video has been added for your viewing pleasure.  Activision did confirm today that the first map pack is titled "Stimulus Package" (LINK).  Enjoy! *

"The best-selling Xbox 360 game of all-time just got bigger, with more epic multiplayer content, first on Xbox LIVE! The Stimulus Package delivers 5 additional action-packed multiplayer maps featuring a variety of locations: "Bailout," a multi-level apartment complex; "Storm," an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery; "Salvage," a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars. Two legendary fan-favorites from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare return, including "Crash," a war-torn urban environment; and "Overgrown," which features a massive dry creek bed." - LINK

As you can see, some of the map names have obviously changed from the time that this video was leaked.  Those changes (as seen on the XBL Marketplace link) look to be that Complex has changed to Bailout, and Compact has been changed to Salvage.

On The Brink....Call of Duty 7

That's right ladies and gentlemen, details are slowly starting to spill regarding this year's Call of Duty installment.  Just this week, Activision officially confirmed that Treyarch Studios is currently developing CoD7 (LINK).

As most of you also know, rumors have swirled for quite some time that the setting for this year's installment would be that of the Vietnam War.  While no official statements have been made regarding those details, there have been a few "leaks" here and there that definitely seem to solidify those rumors.  The latest of which was a recent casting call put out by Activision (LINK).

The casting call was seeking actors to do voice and motion capture work for four characters, those of which are tied to a  real-life Military Assistance command unit known as the Vietnam Studies and Observation group which was an active special ops unit which performed covert operations during the Vietnam War (LINK).

The four aforementioned characters were also lightly detailed in the casting call as the "fiercely patriotic" leader Frank Barnes, the "physically fit" Joseph Lewis, 15-year veteran Jason Hudson and Russian-born martial arts expert and CIA operative Kristina Ivanova.

That's it for now.  We expect more details to emerge in the coming months leading up to E3.  Stay tuned to WePlayCoD for more information and a possible exclusive interview with a special guest in the near future.
